What’s In Your House?

A healthy home is one with fresh fruits, and veggies. We also have dried fruits and nuts so it’s easy for Bill to go nuts creating Funny Food. The more healthy food that’s accessible, the easier it is to grab a nutritious snack or make a quick creative work of food art.

Nuts are great for your heart, eyes and more.

Dried fruits; raisins, cranberries and blueberries, have been called “nature’s candy” because they satisfy a sweet craving, and are fat free and high in fiber.

Blueberries are “super fruits” because they have antioxidants and vitamins A, B & E.

Nuts and dried fruits have a long shelf life, so we buy them in large quantities.  We keep them in glass containers on the counter so our grandkids can grab healthy handfuls.

We love summertime when markets are brimming with fresh fruits and vegetables. Yum.

Having these healthy ingredients available might inspire you to make your own Funny Food.  Look what Bill made for me – a plate of bugs.
